Sending Email from a Microcontroller (!)

If the networked microcontroller has the SMTP TCP protocol, and if the network has access to an email server, the microcontroller can notify a technician of a critical event by sending emails alerting user(s) of an event. In addition, because most pager companies support email paging. the embedded system can send a page to a technician notifying them of a critical event that needs immediate attention.
