The CAD-UL C/C++ toolchain enables engineers to develop their software code on a Linux-based host platform using C/C++ tools that are designed specifically for embedded development. The CAD-UL C/C++ Toolchain The CAD-UL C/C++ toolchain for Linux provides a code-generating toolchain for development of embedded applications under Linux. The toolchain includes CAD-UL's ANSI-compliant C/C++ compilers, linker, assembler, ANSI C/C++ class libraries, ROM-monitor debugger, and floating-point emulator library, which speeds program execution without requiring a floating-point co-processor. The CAD-UL C/C++ Toolchain for Linux features: Support for protected-mode programming, enabling developers to develop applications for 32-bit x86-based target systems. In addition, CAD-UL tools support all protected-mode memory models from flat to segmented, enabling developers to select optimal memory management structures for applications. Support for real-mode programming, allowing developers to use80x86- and 80186-based systems for target applications.
