CMX Offers 3rd Party RTOS Support for Atmel megaAVR

Framingham, MA (microcontroller.com) - CMX Corporation now provides operating system support for Atmel's AVR® 8-bit RISC microcontrollers.

CMX's CMX-RTXTM is a real-time multi-tasking operating system for 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-bit embedded microcontrollers, microprocessors, and DSPs. CMX now supports Atmel's megaAVRTM family of microcontrollers. Also included with the RTOS is the CMXBugTM interactive debugger. The CMXBug allows in-system debugging of the user's application and uses a serial port on the target processor for communication to the debug program.

Pricing for CMX-RTX for Atmel's AVR procesor family is $3,500 for the first seat and $2,300 for each license afterwards. The CMX-RTX is royalty-free.

Since its inception in 1990, CMX Company has focused on providing its customers with all tools needed to program their embedded applications. The Company's core business is to develop and support real-time multi-tasking operating systems for a wide variety of cores. CMX enhances its RTOS with optional networking packages, such as TCP/IP.
