TASKING Announces Support for PowerPC MPC8260

Dedham, MA (microcontroller.com) - TASKING, a developer of C/C++ compiler suites for embedded processors, has added another product to its PowerPC development suite. The MPC8260 PowerQUICC IITM Communications Microprocessor is now supported by TASKING's integrated EDE (Embedded Development Environment) development tool suite.

TASKING's EDE includes an optimized C/C++ compiler, a debugger (CrossView Pro), and the Nucleus PLUS RTOS.

Debugger features include file system simulation (file I/O performed on target is simulated on host), ROM debugging capabilities, full PowerPC on-chip breakpoint support, symbolic debugging, logging of debug sessions for later reference, and trace of code in C/C++ or assembly.
