June 21, 2010 - National Semiconductor has acquired the company GTronix for an undisclosed sum. GTronix is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in programmable and adaptive analog sensory processing technology.

GTronix manufactures the GTX0051/53/60 series of Adaptive Noise Canceling processors.

GTronix also makes the GTX0100/0150 series Active Noise Canceling processors with Integrated Custom Tuned Filters.

Both devices target noisy or windy environments.

GTronix's APTTM Technology - Smart Analog for Sensory Processing - uses proprietary analog algorithms, a programmable floating gate transistor structure and proprietary circuit design techniques to implement signal processing functions.
