From Microcontroller.com Embedded Networking SAN DIEGO June 9, 2005 – NetBurner has introduced the an embedded Ethernet module based on the Freescale ColdFire™ MCF5270 processor. Targeted at the embedded Ethernet space, the MOD5270 boasts 150Mhz 32-bit performance with a complete tool chain and a full suite of useful networking applications.
Developers can use a complete set of example projects as a starting point for the end application, or they can use the project wizard to create a blank network-enabled project. The deployment tools enable over-the-network debugging, field upgrades and module diagnostics. Deployment tool features include network IP address configuration, flash programming and real-time operating system (RTOS) task status reporting. The full-featured TCP/IP stack, RTOS, Web server, C/C++ compiler and deployment tools are included at no additional cost. The MOD5270 is available March 31, 2005, at a price of $59 in 2K/pc quantity.
